- The Anglican parish church was dedicated to Holy Trinity.
- It appears that some parts of the building are of Norman origin.
- The church is built of sandstone lined with chalk. It was rebuilt in 1878-9.
- It is a small church, seating only 90 people.
- The Diocese of Lincoln declared this church redundant in May, 1981. The building was demolished in October, 1982, and the site added to the adjacent churchyard.

- The Anglican parish register dates from 1695.
- As of late 2004, the registers have not been deposited in the Lincs. Archives, nor have they been filmed by the LDS Family History Library. And copies of the Bishop's Transcripts have not been deposited either.

Muckton is both a village and a parish 5 miles south-south-east from Louth in the Wold Hills of Lincolnshire. Burwell parish lies to the south-west. The parish covers just over 1,000 acres and includes the hamlet of Muckton Bottom just to the north.
From some points around the village, one can see the North Sea about 8 miles to the east. If you are planning a visit:

- This place was an ancient parish of Lincolnshire and became a modern Civil Parish when those were encorporated.
- In August, 1882, this parish was enlarged by gaining a portion of Authorpe Civil Parish.
- The parish was in the Wold Division of the ancient Louth Eske Wapentake in the East Lindsey district in the parts of Lindsey.
