Little Grimsby is both a parish and a village in northern Lincolnshire, due north of Louth about 2.5 miles. Yarborough parish lies to the east and Fotherby parish to the west. This small parish only covers about 850 acres.
Little Grimsby village does not show on an Ordnance Survey Motoring Atlas, since it is almost abandoned. If you are planning a visit:
- The parish had a station on the East Lincolnshire section of the Great Northern railway.
- Little Grimsby Hall is built of red brick, in the Gothic style.
- Little Grimsby Hall was formerly the seat of the NELTHORPE family.
- In 1857, the Hall was the residence of Frederick Charles Peter BEAUCLERK, a captain in the Royal Navy who died in 1865 in Dorset at age 57.
- In 1900, the Hall was the residence of William Haddon OWEN.
- The national grid reference is TF 3291.
- You'll want an Ordnance Survey Explorer #283 map, which has a scale of 2.5 inches to the mile.

- This place was an ancient parish in Lincolnshire and became a modern Civil Parish when those were established.
- The parish was in the ancient Ludborough Wapentake in the East Lindsey district in the parts of Lindsey.
- In recent times the Civil Parish has merged with another to create the modern Civil Parish of Brackenborough with Little Grimsby.

- Bastardy cases would be heard in the Louth petty session hearings every other Wednesday.
- After the 1834 Poor Law Amendment Act, the parish became part of the Louth Poorlaw Union.
