- The Anglican parish church is dedicated to Saint Nicholas.
- The church was originally built in the 15th century on what is now Main Street.
- The church was entirely rebuilt in 1869.

Gunby is both a small village and a parish south of Grantham, off the A1 trunk road to the west. It is 13 miles north-west of Stamford and lies between North Witham parish to the east and Sewstern parish in neighborhing Leicestershire to the west. The parish covers just over 1,000 acres.
There is another Gunby (Gunby St. Peter) near Spilsby. If you are planning a visit:

- The parish was in the ancient Beltisloe Wapentake in the South Kesteven district in the parts of Kesteven.
