Portscatho Parish Records - Baptisms 1826-1836

Baptisms at Portscatho Independent Chapel 1826-1836

Unfortunately there are very few parish records surviving from this Chapel. The reason is that the secretary of the Chapel, Captain Thomas Peters, took them to sea with him for safe keeping. He was drowned when his schooner 'Rose' was lost with all hands when it sank off Land's End during the great blizzard of 1891. Se also a history of Portscatho Chapel.
