The WILL of SARAH LEEDAM ( Nee GRIN ) d. 1730.
In The Name of God Amen.
I Sarah Leedam of Measham in the County of Derby an unworthy member of the Church of England: being the weak in body yet of a sound understanding and memory do constitue this my Last will and Testament Imprimis: I most Humbley bequeath my Soul to God my Maker beseeching his most gracious Acceptance of it: Through the all Sufficient Merites and Mediation of my most Compassionat Redeemer Jesus Christ: who gave him Selfe to be an Attonement for my Sins and is able to Save to the uttermost all that come unto God by him: seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them: and who I trust will not reject me a penitent Sinner when I come to him for his mercy: in this Hope and Confidence I render up my Soul with comfort: in full Assurance of everlasting life in the Kingdom of Heaven: I give my Body to the Earth to be Decently Buried at the Discretion of my Executor herein after named.
Item. I give to my Daughter Elisabeth Newton the Sume of ten pounds of lawfulll money:
Item. I give to my Daughter True Leedam the Sume of ten pounds of lawfull money.
Item. I give to my Daughter Sarah Leedam the Sume of ten Pounds of lawfull money.
Item. I give to my Son Stephen Leedam the Sume of ten pounds of lawfull money.
Item. I give to my Son William Leedam the Sume of ten pounds of lawfull mony.
Item. I leave my son Thomas Leedam Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament: which I also charge with the said legacies Debts and funeral charges: and if my Household Goods shall amount to above the Sume of ten pounds after my Debts and funeral Charges are Discharged what remains over and above shall be equally devided between William and Sarah.
In witness hereof I have here unto set my hand this 24 Day of May Anno 1730.
