For US residents, you may check into the details of borrowing a book via interlibrary loan. You may also request copies to be made of maps. Try searching for town or district names, etc.
- The largest, single online catalog of books can be found at The Library of Congress. Find out about their interlibrary loan service. People who do not live in the USA are also able to request books on loan from the Library of Congress!
- Ortsippenb�cher und Familienb�cher Search for "Town kinship books" (dealing with the genealogy of an entire village or town) and "Family books".
