     Civil War: CSA, enlisted Sep 22 1862 at Charleston WV, a Private
     in Co. B, 22nd VA Infantry, captured Jan 4 1865 at Ripley WV by the
     7th WV Calvary and held prisoner at Wheeling WV, Cumberland MD,
     and Camp Chase OH where he took the Oath of Allegiance May 16 1865
  m. Mary Jane Hughes Jun 15 1828 Jackson Co WV, b. 1806 d. 1891
     She and Abijah died three days apart. They had more children
