* John (Hight) Hite
     Progenitor of this line may be John Huett, who was brought to VA as a
     bond-servant to Richard Cocke in 1639, and settled in Henrico(New Kent)
     Co where he or a son was a landowner in 1689. In 1704 a John Hight is
     found on Quit Rent rolls for New Kent Co, next to King and Queen Co.
     After son Matthew was born, John and Mary moved to Albemarle Co by 1765
     and then to Amherst(Nelson) Co by Dec 7 1772 when John bought 248 acres
     on Stoneyrun, a branch of the Tye River
