That the said Treasurer pay to Capt Samuel McPherson and Capt.
William Bruce of the 1st Regimt each, Seven pounds, ten shillings
of the same Emission part of the money appropriated to the Officers
going to the Southward.
That the said Treasurer pay to George Davis six pounds and also
two pounds, six shillings and three pence of the same Emission due
him for riding Express per Accounts passed.
That the said Treasurer pay to Jub Fowler Messenger to the
Governor & Council, ten pounds, eight shillings & four pence of the
same Emission on Account.

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Capt. Jonathan
Morris Twenty five pounds of the Bills emitted under the " Act for
the Emission of Bills of Credit not exceeding two hundred thousand
pounds &ca in lieu of Twenty five pounds Specie part of the Money to
be issued to the Officers of the Maryland Line as soon as Money
conies into the Treasury after the four thousand pounds appropriated
tor the non Commissioned Officers marching to the Southward and
the Officers there and those who are going to serve the prest Campn

is received

That the said Treasurer pay to Lieut Edmund Compton of the 4th
Regiment Ten pounds of the same Emission part of the Money
appropriated for the Offrs going to the Southwd.
That the said Treasurer pay to Lieut Nicholas Mangers of the 4th
Regimt seven pounds, ten shillings of the same Emission part of
the money aforesaid.
That the said Treasurer pay to Thomas Harrison one hundred
and seven pounds specie agreeable to the " Act to adjust the Debts
due from this State " due him per Account settled by the Aud. Genl
the 11th Inst.

That the Issuing Commissary deliver to Lieut. Henry Clements of
the 5th Regiment eight Gallons of Rum and thirty two pounds of
Sugar due him to the 1st Inst

Your Letter of the 12th we received, we agree with you if the
State is as unfortunate in the other Counties as Queen Anns it will
not be much to the Advantage of the State nor will our Army be
strengthened by draughting the Militia. When a Recruit is furnished
for three vears or the war the 4/ ought to be paid in hard Money or
in paper at the actual Exchange, where the Draught goes or procures
a Substitute for nine Months one fourth is to be received as above
and the three fourths for the State in Paper for three for one, but
where the Class has failed to furnish a Recruit the whole is to be paid
at three for one. We apprehend the Persons who have been excused
