The Council of Safety agreed with M^r Samuel Dorsey of
Elkridge for 500 Bayonets, all compleat agreeable to a Patent
this Day delivered him by the Commissary of Stores, except
the Sockett
Ordered That the Commissary of Stores deliver to M^r
Samuel Dorsey 200 w' of the steel purchased by M^r Steuard
at Phil^a
Adjourned 'till next Day 10 ^o'Clock.

To Captⁿ Nath^l Smith
Sir.
You are requested to send to the Council of Safety as soon
as possible an account of all the Canon at Baltimore and Swivel
guns belonging to the Province, as well those that are mounted
at the Fortifications as those that are not, and their weights of
Metal.

Gentlemen
I waited on M^r Harris concerning the size of the Bayonets
and he gave me for answer that he was going the next day
to Philadelphia, and could not do any thing in it until he
returned, for which reason I did not wait on M^r Devall for the
Bayonet for a Pattern, but now wait on you by M^r Gary to
confirm the contract to make the Bayonets at 6/6 and to get
an order for the Steel, in mean time remain
