Our Mission Statement To promote and
encourage an interest in genealogy, and to educate members
and the interested public in genealogical research. To
maintain and elevate genealogical standards; to stress the
importance of accuracy in research through careful
documentation. To locate, preserve, publish and index
public and private genealogical / historical records. To
assist and support any genealogical institutions or
repositories in Colorado which are open to the public.Monthly Meetings2nd Wednesday of each month at 1:00 PM except for July and December when meetings include a pot luck luncheon and begin at Noon.All meetings are held at the First Lutheran Church located at 803 3rd Avenue in Longmont. W e meet in the "Friendship Center" room which is on the street level. It is accessed by the west door that faces 3rd Avenue, It is adjacent to a small parking lot with 2 Handicap spots. More parking is available on the West side of the building with a stairway leading to this upper level. |

Shaw Mortuary Burial Records Shaw Mortuary Burial
Records The Shaw Mortuary was in business from
approximately 1882 to 1945 when the business was sold to
George Howe. A fire in 2013 distroyed the original records
maintained by the Shaws, but the Longmont Genealogical
Society had reproduced many of the records in their
Quarterly Newsletters. These burial records have been
indexed and are now available here. Voter
Registration Records 1898 - 1919. Boulder County News Index - The
Boulder County News was published from October 12, 1869
until November 8, 1878. This newspaper is available
on microfilm at the Longmont Public Library and is
available upstairs with the other newspapers on microfilm.
