The National Society welcomes any woman 18
years of age or older, regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background who
can prove lineal descent from a man or woman who, with unfailing loyalty to the
cause of American Independence, served as a Patriot during the American
Revolution between 19 April 1775 to 26 November 1783.
A Patriot may have been a man or a woman,
with services as one of the following:
- Military – a sailor, soldier, or served
in a militia or the Continental line
- Civil – officers, civil servants or
jurors
- Patriot – service or rendered material
aid or comfort, demonstrated by the American Cause
- A Signer of the Declaration of
Independence
