HAROLD E. STEVENS

Harold E. STEVENS, (no middle name) born March 15,1941, in Presbyterian Hospital, in Denver, CO. The second son of George E. and Barbara A. (Thieman) STEVENS. A brother, Terrill, born Dec. 5,1939, lived five months, and died in May of 1940 of Spinal Bifida. Harold has one living sister.

Harold was raised and educated in Denver, CO, except for times when the family was living elsewhere, when the father was on assignment with the United States Army. At the age of seventeen, Harold enlisted in the United States Army, on June 14,1958, following in his father's footsteps, serving his country. He was assigned to Fort Belviour, VA, a post where his father had received training during his military career. Harold received an Engineer Supply Specialist Course while at Ft. Belviour. He served three years and received an Honorable Discharge in June.1961, returning to the Denver area.

In 1964, Harold married and his wife is still living.

Harold was employed for many years, installing Hot Tubs, Sauna Pools and fiberglass swimming pools. His hobby was reconstructing stock cars, hot rods and race cars, which he and his son drove on race tracks through-out the country.

Harold's father, George STEVENS died Mar 19, 1970 and is buried at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. On Jan. 18, 1992 Harold's mother, Barbara (Thieman) STEVENS, passed away at Swedish Medical Center, in Englewood, Arapahoe County, CO. and she was laid to rest beside her husband, George.

In Jan. 2000, Harold E. STEVENS was diagnosed with Liver Cancer and died on April 11, 2000 in Wheatridge, Jefferson County, CO. He is buried in the Court of Honor, Garden of Victory, Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Littleton, Arapahoe County, CO.
