1997 Queries For Baca County bar

Jean L. Robinson 1/19/1997 TWENTIER  -- Anyone having information on RAY and ELVA J. TWENTIER who homsteaded NW of Two Buttes in Baca County in 1912 and lived there until 1936. I was born there and would like to correspond with anyone that lived there. Would like to share information about "Life in Two Buttes" from homestead days ca 1912, through the "dirty thirties" and to the present. I was born there and one of those delivered by Dr. W. P. Verity. My father was a rural mail carrier in Baca County for 16 years or more. Some of the surnames I am acquainted with are: LENT, BACKUS, JONES, LUCAS, SERFOSS, NUTT, HALL, CAMPBELL, KITZMILLER, EWING, DOWNING, BEST, and many others.

Steve Stamm 4/22/ 1997 LAY -- Baca County, Colorado. Looking for death certificate and any other information for David LAY, moved from Campbell County, Tennessee to Baca County in 1914.

Gabe Neville 5/28/1997 NEVILLE, AUTRY -- Looking for cousins and information on NEVILLE and AUTRY families, both located in Baca County in the first half of the 20th century. Gabe Neville (1967 -); John Terryl Neville (1934 - 1993), b. Baca Co; John Arlie Neville (1899 - 1989), b. Holmes Co, OH, m. Cordie Frances Autry (10-4 - 1980), b. Wood Co, TX.

Mary Ann Hanson 8/13/1997 BROOKS -- Sisters Alice, Mary and Hulda Effie Brooks were born to Sarah Geneva WILLIS and her husband Younger BROOKS in Baca Co between 1890 and 1894. Their family moved back to Missouri before 1898. Any information on this family is welcomed.

Suann Moore 8/17/1997 FISHGRAB, WISE -- My grandfather's brother, William H. FISHGRAB, is buried in the Campo Cemetery, Baca Co, CO. He was born Willheim Herman Fischgrabe in Hebren, NE, April 30, 1887. He changed his name sometime later as an adult. He was married to Edith May INGHAM. They were married Sept. 8, 1907 at Beaver City, OK. Children born to them were Zelpha Ruby, Gilbert Ralph, Vida Delpha, Dennis Merle, Chester Lee, and Clifford Ernest. He died April 28, 1974. My grandfather was Gerhard C. Fischgrabe married to Rose Anna WISE. I would be interested in any information regarding this family.

Sharen Dietz 9/8/1997 GREGORY -- Aby information about Asa GREGORY, Nancy Drake (Murphy-Fee) Gregory. They moved to Ls Animas County, Colorado in 1874 and settled in Trinidad, Colorado area. Their children are as follows: James Ammom Gregory B. 1867, Olive Victoria Gregory B: 1869, William Porter Gregory B: 1878, Charles E. Gregory B: 1873, Frank J. Gregory B: 1875, John Elmer Gregory B: 1878, Dianna C. Gregory B: 1880, Della Myrtle Gregory B: 1884, George Oscar Gregory B: 1888. Would like to find someone with information on this family. My husband's grandmother was Della Myrtle Gregory-Canterbury. We would like to trace the Gregory family but can't find anything on them. We do know tht George Oscar GREGORY married Ethel COY they had a son who died: Coy Edwin Gregory and is buried in Rocky Ford, Colorado.
