6. Josias B. MOORE⁽⁴⁰⁾ was born on 31 Jan 1847 in Huntington, Quebec.⁽⁴¹⁾⁽⁴²⁾ He was christened on 7 Jun 1847 in Huntington, Quebec. He died on 3 Jun 1911 in Hastings, Dungannon, Ontario.⁽⁴³⁾⁽⁴⁴⁾ Newspaper article states he died on a Saturday, and 3 June 1911 was a
Saturday. He was buried about 6 Jun 1911 in Hastings, Dungannon, Ontario. Hazel Glover told of Frank Moore, brother to Josias B. Moore, married
to Harriet and having daughter, Millie.
Newspaper obituary also mentions brother Frank of Niagara, as well as
Charles of bay City, Henry of Montana and Louis of Bancroft. these
don't jibe with current list which I suspect I got from Kay Taylor.
(As of April 1998) He was married to Sarah Elizabeth Poole TAIT on 8 Nov 1870 in Carleton Place, Lanark, Ontario, Canada.⁽⁴⁵⁾ Aunt Sara Moore (daughter) said they were married at Uncle George
Tait's home, Carleton Place, in the county of Lanark. Told by Aunt
Genieve Dundas to LFJC.

7. Sarah Elizabeth Poole TAIT was born on 6 Jul 1844 in Aberdeen, Aberdeen, Scotland.⁽⁴⁶⁾ She died on 5 Jan 1910 in L'Amable, Ontario, Canada.⁽⁴⁷⁾ Children were:

i. George Josias MOORE was born on 19 Sep 1871 in L'Amable, Hastings, Ontario, Canada. He died on 6 Apr 1949 in Innisfail, Alberta, Canada.
ii. John Charles MOORE was born on 13 Nov 1873 in L'Amable, Hastings, Ontario, Canada. He died on 27 Jan 1906.
3 iii. Jessie Tait MOORE.
iv. Alexander Tait MOORE was born on 22 Mar 1877 in L'Amable, Hastings, Ontario, Canada. He died on 29 Dec 1959 in Ottawa, Ontario.⁽⁴⁸⁾ Obituary states Uncle Alex died in the Ottawa Civic Hospital, although
he resided in the Township of Dungannon.
As a teen, I visited him on his farm in L'Amable, and he visited us in
Victoria one summer accompanied by his daughter, Dorothy Moore.
v. Arthur William MOORE was born on 6 May 1879 in L'Amable, Hastings, Ontario, Canada. He died on 4 Nov 1947 in Red Deer, AB, Canada.⁽⁴⁹⁾
vi. Mary Elizabeth MOORE was born on 7 Jun 1881 in L'Amable, Hastings, Ontario, Canada. She died about 1921. Also known as "Minnie". This was often mentioned by my mother, Hazel
Spurr Glover, and is mentioned in Obituary of her brother, Alex.
vii. Sara Margaret MOORE was born on 26 Apr 1883 in L'Amable, Hastings, Ontario, Canada.⁽⁵⁰⁾ She died about 1986 in L'Amable, Hastings, Ontario, Canada.
viii. David Roy MOORE was born on 22 Feb 1885 in L'Amable, Hastings, Ontario, Canada. He died after 1913 in Hastings, Dungannon, Ontario.⁽⁵¹⁾
