Benjamin S. Clardy's inventory
is very interesting. My 3rd Great Grandfather
was a constable/sheriff (among a few others things) in 1839, LA. At the time
of his death, he had account books among his papers, listing people from the
area that he had had business with -official or otherwise.
There are many surnames listed. I counted roughly 130 surnames within
this one inventory! You just never know who might be included.
As with all transcribing, errors can and due occur. I have transcribed this document to the best of ability. When in doubt, check the film.
