Pioneers to Tioga Co. Pennsylvania, Jeptha Hughes and his wife Betsy Hill Hughes were the first to arrive in Tioga. Jep's son, Frederick Hughes and his wife, Harriet Van Wey Hughes lived in the area of Mitchel's Creek in Tioga Co.
