Bernhart Mullar (Miller) (1722-1792) & Maria Eva Muller (1724-1802)
His parents were Johann Mueller and Maria Eva Kost. He died at age 70 in 1792 Williams Twsp, Northampton Co. PA.
Two years before coming to America he married 23 year old Maria Eva Muller on June 9, 1747, a daughter of Johann George Muller and Anna Susanna Unangst. Bernhart was 27 years old when he sailed for the new world where he lived the next fifty years of his life. Maria Eva Muller died June 21, 1802 at the age of 78 years in Forks Twsp, Northampton Co., PA.
Bernhart and his wife Maria Eva were among the first settlers to move into the area north of Easton known as Mt. Bethel. Many German people had arrived in Pennsylvania at the invitation of Wm. Penn to settle the land and find a place where they could practice their religion. They belonged to a group of people known as the Palatines. These immigrants were from the region of Germany along the Rhine and had been persecuted because of their religious beliefs. Many came to Pennsylvania in the 1700's.

Brodt's reference cites that she was the daughter of "Bernet" Miller {p.6, Court records, 1785, June 24 - "Bernet" Miller, grandfather of said children of late Paulus and wf. Maria Barbara (nee Miller) Brod}. The descendents list supplied by Rizza names Barbara Miller as the first child of Bernhart Mueller and his wife Maria Eva Muller. Also the brother Henry Miller is named in both sources, (Brodt , p. 9)
Maria "Barbara" Brod was the mother of 15 children, 10 with her first husband, Paul Brodt ,who were;Bernhard,Mary, Frederick, Conrad, Margaret, Michael, Catherine, Anna Rosina, Jacob, and SUSANNA. A record of her birth was provided by Virginia Deagan of Flordia. The record is in German that is translated to English. It states that Maria Barbara was born on June 19, 1747, 9 days after her parents were married.
