She was born Lucinda Needles in Fairfield Co., Ohio, 13 May 1818. She married Norman Crane in 1836. Came to Howard Twp., Gentry Co., Mo. in 1844. Three boys & 4 girls survive-- Mrs Levina J. Long, near Brooklyn, Harrison Co., Mo.; Mrs Mary L. Overstreet, Wichita, Kan.; Mrs Lucinda Conard, Albany, Mo.; Mrs Sarah A. Thacker, Sidney, Mont.; George, Canton, Kan.; Clark, Washville, Okla. & S.L. Crane, Hampton, Mo., Mr Crane died in 1866. In 1880 she married Hezekiah Mason and he died in 1883. Burial in Carter cemetery."
