     About 1805. William Cheyne (8813) may have been a son of William Cheyne (9975) and Elizabeth Marshall (9976).1

William Cheyne married Elizabeth Marshall 31 January 1805, in accordance with the procedures of the Church of Scotland, in Peterhead Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. The following is a transcription from the Register of Marriages, Parish of Peterhead, 1797-1820, Page 11/355, "31st (Jan 1805) William Cheyne (9975), Sailor, and Elisabeth Marshall (9976), both in Peterhead.”.2

William Cheynes (8813) and (9975) may have been closely related. William (9975)'s son Thomas (8836) with be in William (8813)'s household on the 1841 census.

William Cheyne was listed as a deceased miller on the marriage record of his son Thomas Cheyne and Sarah McAulay, on 31 December 1872; Church of Scotland.3
