     Janet Cheyne and James Birnie had their marriage banns read in the procedures of the Church of Scotland, 27 May 1792 in Methlick Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. The following is a transcription from the Register of Marriages, Parish of Methlick, 1696-1819, Page 146 "May 27th (1792) James Birnie in the parish of Undy and Jannet Cheyne in this parish signified their purpose of marriage consigned pledges &c and were married June 14th"..1

Janet Cheyne married James Birnie 14 June 1792, in accordance with the procedures of the Church of Scotland, in Methlick Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland.1

A Janet Cheyne, age 75, born in Aberdeenshire, was found on the 1841 Scotland Census, at Teuchar, Monquhitter Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. She was the head of household and lived alone. No occupany was listed. That Janet Cheyne was probably either (1223), (1571) or (9839).2
