The entry in the Saint Nicholas, Register of Baptisms, Volume 7, 1704-1734, frame 88, reads: "The faid day (December 7th 1713) John Chein, workman and Anna Smith, his Spouse had a Son called Robert baptized by Dr Blair, witnefses Robert Mercefon, merchant, and John Ogilvie, ?amper".2,1
