Isobell Cheyne married Alexander Wilson 1568, in Aberdeen, Saint Nicholas Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. An Isbell Chein married Alex'r Lumisden in Saint Nicholas Parish, Aberdeen, 1568. No birth record was found for her. No children of the marriage were found.
This is the earliest known Cheyne marriage record. It was dated only 1568. Its IGI serial number is 0009, which probably means it is the ninth entry on the OPR.
The second oldest marriage record is for an Isobell Cheny marrying Alexander Wilson the same year. Neither entry contained a day nor month, only the year. It is very difficult to read the writings from that time period. It may be that Lumisden and Wilson are actually different interpretations of the same entry. I am assuming that they are. The more likely is Wilson and that is that we have entered here.1
