     William Cheyne was baptized in accordance with the procedures of the Church of Scotland, 9 July 1854, at Deershill, in Fyvie Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. The following is a transcription from the Register of Baptisms, Parish of Fyvie, 1820-1854, Page 124 "July 9th, 1854 George Cheyne in Deershill had a Son by his Wife Ann Gordon, named William."1

Sarah Cheyne, George Cheyne, James Cheyne, William Cheyne, Alexander Cheyne and Mary Cheyne were listed as children in the household of George Cheyne and his wife, Ann Cheyne on the 1861 Scotland Census, at Deershill, in Millbrex Quoad Sacra Parish of Fyvie, Aberdeen, Scotland. He was listed as age 6, born in Fyvie Parish and a scholar.4

William Cheyne was listed on the 1871 Scotland Census at Blackpool, in Millbrex Quoad Sacra Parish of Fyvie, Aberdeen, Scotland. He was listed as William Chyne and was in the household of Alexander Gibson, farmer of 50 acres. He was 16, born i Fyvie Parish and a farm servant.5

William Cheyne was found on a passenger list, dated 12 June 1873, at Quebec, Quebec, Canada. He was a passenger aboard the Saint Patrick, out of Glasgow. He was 18, single and destined for Ontario.6

William Cheyne died 12 June 1934 of cancer of the stomach in Belwood, Wellington, Ontario, Canada. He resided in Belwood, was 79 years old, a widower, a retired gentleman and born in Scotland. He had been in Wellington County 30 years and Ontario and Canada for 61. His daughter, Aggie, recorded his death. His parents were confirmed to be as recorded herein.18
