Santine Cheyne were listed as children in the household of William Cheyne and his wife, Mary Cheyne on the 1871 Scotland Census, at 22 Burns Lane, in Lerwick, Lerwick Parish, Shetland Islands, Scotland. He was 15, born in Lerwick, and a shoemaker.2

William Cheyne married Sarah Ann Murray. The William Cheyne that married Sarah Ann Murray probably was William #8117. She will later be found in the household of his assumed sister, Elizabeth. No IGI marriage record was found.
