     George Cheyne was baptized in accordance with the procedures of the Church of Scotland, 29 April 1694, in Fyvie Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. The following is a transcription from the Register of Baptisms, Parish of Methlick, 1670-1745, Page 88 "29 (Apr 1694) Alex'r Chyne in the parioch of Fivie had a sone baptised named Georg Georg Gordon & Georg Jameson wittnefses".1

George Cheyne witnessed the christening of his grand-nephew, George Cheyne, on 23 July 1742, at Burnhead at Fyvie Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. The following is a transcription from the Register of Baptisms, Parish of Fyvie, 1685-1764, Page 36/218 "July 23 (1742) James Cheyn in Burnhead had a Child baptized called George witnefses George Cheyn (765) (grand-uncle of the child) & Robert Wilson"..2

The baptismal record of William Cheyne documented George Cheyne, in Swansford, as his father, 14 May 1745, at Swanford, in Fyvie Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. The following is a transcription from the Register of Baptisms, Parish of Fyvie, 1685-1764, Page 225 "May 14th (1745) George Cheyn in Swanford had a Child baptized called Wm witnefses James Cheyn (1767) (the child's first cousin) & Wm. Urquhart (4730)". William Cheyne (793) was the assumed son of George Cheyne (765). The baptism was witnessed by a Urquhart, probably a grandfather or uncle. There were three other children baptized to a George Cheyne in Fyvie, who resided in Balquhindachy, Methlick Parish. Those three are thought to be children of George (799).3
