Barbara Cheyne

     Barbara Cheyne was baptized in accordance with the procedures of the Church of Scotland, 23 May 1685, at Woodhead of Fetterletter, in Fyvie Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. The date was either 3rd or 23rd of May. The following is a transcription from the Register of Baptisms, Parish of Fyvie, 1685-1764, Page 4 "Barbara Cheyn law'll Daughter to Alexander Cheyn at Woodhead of Fetterletter was baptized upon ___rd day of May 1685 before these witneffes John ____n in midfummercairn & William Cheyn(1515) in Bowihilloch".¹
