From the Register of Baptisms, Parish of Fordyce, Banffshire 1775-1819, Frame 158 “May24 1812 William Cheyne, Flaxdrafser in Portsoy had a Child by his Wife Susan Boyne, baptized & named Anne Witnefses Alex’r Cheyne (16916) & Dugal Simpson”.1

Anne Cheyne married James Lockerby 31 December 1856, in accordance with the procedures of the Church of England, after banns, at Church of Saint Bride, in Liverpool, Lancashire, England. She was a spinster and her father was listed as William, flax dresser.2

Anne C. Lockerby and her husband, James Lockerby, were listed on the 1861 England Census, at 27 Bloom Street, in Liverpool, Lancashire, England. They were listed as the head of household and wife. A lodger, William S. Wright, accountant, was also present.. She was listed as 47 years old and born in Fordyce Parish.3
