Margaret was marked as an adult, Adelaide, 8, Robert, 6, George, 6, Walter, 3 and Annie, 8 months. All were tourists and Americans.7

Margaret was listed as 36 and married, Adelaide, 10, George, 6, Walter, 4 and Fred, 1. Annie Cheyne was 60 and married. All were tourists and Americans.8

His next of kin was his sister, Mrs. Omer Jones, Cambridge.3

He applied for a United States Passport, at Providence, Rhode Island, USA, 30 November 1923. He was intending to travel to Italy, France and England aboard the Martha Washington out of Boston on the 29th of December 1923. His father was Robert Cheyne, born in Scotland, who immigrated to the United States, 1 May 1888, and had lived from that date in Massachusetts. Walter was five years old when his father was naturalized, 12 January 1899. Walter was born in Lower Canard, Nova Scotia, 24 August 1896 and a salesman residing in Mansfield, Massachusetts.11

Walter Cheyne was found on a passenger list, dated 12 April 1924, at New York, New York, USA. He was on a Manifest of US Citizen Passengers aboard the Providence, out of Marseille, France. He was 27 years, 7 months of age, single, born 24 August 1896, in Lower Canard, Kings County, Nova Scotia and resided in Mansfield, Massachusetts.12

Walter Grant Cheyne married Virginia Knight Read 26 June 1931.1

Walter G. Cheyne and Virginia K. Cheyne were found on a passenger list, dated 15 September 1931, at New York, New York, USA. They was on two Manifests of First Cabin, US Citizen Passengers aboard the President Polk, out of Naples, Italy. He was 35, married, born 24 August 1896, in Lower Canard, Nova Scotia and was a US citizen by virtue of "parents US citizens residing in Nov Scotia at time of birth". She was 23, married, born 6 October 1907, in Taunton, Massachusetts. They resided in Mansfield, Massachusetts.14

Walter G. Cheyne and his wife Virginia K. Cheyne were listed on the 1940 United States Census, at 396 Willow Street, in Mansfield, Bristol, Massachusetts, USA. He was head of household. Her mother, Ella Read, was also present. The family owned their home valued at $5,400. All were in the same house in 1935.. He was listed as 43 years old and born in Canada, a US citizen born abroad.5

Walter Grant Cheyne died 21 June 1983.1
