The following is a transcription from the Register of Baptisms, Parish of New Deer, 1684-1726, Page 133, "Feb'y: 26: 1705: Said day Robert Barnet (4589) in Slacks had two daughters brought forth by his wife Goils Smith (4590), & was baptized Marce: 1: named the Eldest Elfpet (4407) & 2d Margrat (4592), Godfathers Alex'r Chyne in Corbfhill & Alex'r (Birnie or Bruce) in Slacks, Godmothers Jean Urquhart (760) & Margrat Watfon both in Corbfhill”.1
