Reverend John Franklin Cheyne was granted the probate of the estate of the deceased, Rose Cheyne, 21 June 1945. The will of Rose Cheyne was proved 21 June 1945. An abstract of which reads: "Cheyne Rose of School House Hardwicke Buckinghamshire widow died 18 February 1945 Probate Birmingham 21 June to the reverend John Franklin Cheyne clerk. Effects £270.".2

John Franklin Cheyne was found on a passenger list, dated 13 November 1953, at Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He may have been he John F. Cheyne found on a BOAC Passenger List of flight BA607/210 from London aboard aircraft number G-ALSC. No other details were provided.3
