He was also listed as a scholar.3

William Cheyne, journeyman mason, residing at 83 High Street, New Pitsligo, recorded the birth of his illegitimate son, Andrew Milne Cheyne, 2 December 1890, in 8 Low Street, New Pitsligo, New Pitsligo Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland; at 12 noon.4,5

William Cheyne, Andrew Cheyne, Jessie Ann Cheyne, Bella Cheyne and John Cheyne were listed as children in the household of William Cheyne and his wife, Jessie W. Cheyne on the 1891 Scotland Census, at 83 High Street, in New Pitsligo, New Pitsligo Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. He was listed as 21 years of age, born in New Pitsligo Parish, and a mason.6

William Cheyne (3552) was the presumed father of Maggie Paterson Cheyne Milne.7

William Cheyne married Mary Bella Abel 30 November 1894, in accordance with the procedures of the Free Church of Scotland, at Royal Hotel, in Aberdeen, Old Machar Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. He was a 24 year old, bachelor, journeyman stone cutter and resided at 2 Farmer's Hall Lane, Aberdeen. His parents were confirmed to be as recorded herein.8,9

William Cheyne and his wife Mary B. Cheyne were listed on the 1901 Scotland Census, at 175 Hardgate, in Aberdeen, Holburn, Old Machar Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. He was head of household and a mason. William was listed as 30 years of age and born in Tyrie, New Pitsligo, Aberdeenshire.8
