     James Wilson married Elizabeth Cheyne 20 February 1847, in accordance with the procedures of the Church of Scotland, in Peterhead Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. The following is a transcription from the Register of Marriages, Parish of Peterhead, 1820-1854, Page 172/425, "February 20th (1847) James Wilson (3377), Seaman and Elisabeth Cheyne (996), both in this parish.”.1

The baptismal record of Ann Wilson documented James Wilson as her father, 21 September 1848, in Peterhead, Peterhead Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. The following is a transcription from the Register of Baptisms, Parish of Peterhead, 1833-1854, Page 297, "September 21st (1848) James Wilson (3377), Seaman, in Peterhead and Betty Cheyne (996) his wife had a daughter born 10th baptized and named Ann (3378), before Alexander Wilson and Thomas Cheyne (986)".2

The baptismal record of Alexander Wilson documented James Wilson as his father, 13 September 1850, in Peterhead, Peterhead Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. The following is a transcription from the Register of Baptisms, Parish of Peterhead, 1833-1854, Page 337, "September 13th (1850) James Wilson (3377), Seaman, in Peterhead and Elizabeth Cheyne (996) his wife had a son born 1st baptized and named Alexander (3379) before Alexander Wilson and Thomas Cheyne (986)".3

The baptismal record of James Wilson documented James Wilson as his father, 20 October 1852, in Peterhead, Peterhead Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. The following is a transcription from the Register of Baptisms, Parish of Peterhead, 1833-1854, Page 383, "October 20th (1852) James Wilson (3377), Seaman, in Peterhead and Elizabeth Cheyne (996) his wife, had a son born 4th, baptized and named James (3380), before Alexander Wilson and James Cheyne (995)".4

James Wilson witnessed the christening of his wife;s nephew, William Cheyne, on 1 June 1853, at Peterhead, Peterhead Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. The following is a transcription from the Register of Baptisms, Parish of Peterhead, 1833-1854, Page 394, "June 1st (1853) James Cheyne (995), Seaman, in Peterhead, and Ann Mearns (1008) his wife had a son born 17th May - baptized and named William (1011), before James Wilson (3377) and Alexander Webster.”.5

The baptismal record of Robert Wilson documented James Wilson as his father, 27 September 1854, in Peterhead, Peterhead Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. The following is a transcription from the Register of Baptisms, Parish of Peterhead, 1833-1854, Page 421, "September 27th (1854) James Wilson (3377), Seaman, in Peterhead and Elizabeth Cheyne (996) his wife, had a son born 16th baptized and named Robert (3381) before James Cheyne (995) and Alexander Wilson".6

James Wilson. He probably died before the 1871 census. His wife was found as a domestic servant and three of his children were living together, all in Old Machar Parish.7
