The following is a transcription from the Register of Baptisms, Parish of Peterhead, 1833-1854, Page 394, "June 1st (1853) James Cheyne (995), Seaman, in Peterhead, and Ann Mearns (1008) his wife had a son born 17th May - baptized and named William (1011), before James Wilson (3377) and Alexander Webster.”.5
The baptismal record of Robert Wilson documented James Wilson as his father, 27 September 1854, in Peterhead, Peterhead Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. The following is a transcription from the Register of Baptisms, Parish of Peterhead, 1833-1854, Page 421, "September 27th (1854) James Wilson (3377), Seaman, in Peterhead and Elizabeth Cheyne (996) his wife, had a son born 16th baptized and named Robert (3381) before James Cheyne (995) and Alexander Wilson".6
James Wilson. He probably died before the 1871 census. His wife was found as a domestic servant and three of his children were living together, all in Old Machar Parish.7
