Helen Cheyne married Arthur Boyes 24 June 1849, in accordance with the procedures of the Church of Scotland, in Peterhead Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. The following is a transcription from the Register of Marriages, Parish of Peterhead, 1820-1854, Page 194/446, "June 24th (1849) Arthur Boyes (3093), Farm-Servant, and Helen Cheyne (3092), both in this parish.”.5

Helen Cheyne Boyes and her husband, Arthur Boyes, were listed on the 1891 Scotland Census, at Hillhead Cottage # 1, in Longside Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. They were listed as the head of household and wife. Helen Cheyne Boyes was 71 years of age and born in Cuminestown.3

Helen Cheyne was listed on the 1901 Scotland Census at 77 Rosemount Viaduct, in Aberdeen, Gilcomston, Old Machar Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. She was a visitor in the household of Maggie Murray. Maggie Murray was probably related by marriage to James Murray (14390), Helen's nephew. Also a visitor in the household was an Arthur Boyes, 24, born Longside Parish, probably her grandson.
