Frances Ellen Georina Gordon married Arthur Cheyne 28 June 1883, in accordance with the procedures of the Church of England, in London, Bayswater, Saint Peter Parish, England. They were married in the parish church after banns. She was a spinster and resided in All Saints Parish, Kensington.4,2,5

Arthur and Frances were mentioned in Zetland Family Histories. Their entry reads "Arthur (Cheyne), merchant, London, born 1st January, 1844, died 20th April, 1900, married 28th June, 1883, Frances, third daughter of Donald Macleod Gordon, merchant, Calcutta. She was born 27th March, 1849, but had no issue".2

An abstract of it reads: "Cheyne Arthur of 14 Sinclair Gardens Kensington Middlesex secretary of Indo China steamship company died 20 April 1900 Administration London 13 June to Frances Ellen Georgina Cheyne widow. Effects £6457 1s. 11d.".6
