     Catherine Inglis married George Cheyne 2 September 1647, in Edinburgh, Old Kirk Parish, Midlothian, Scotland.1,2

Katherine Inglis, widow of George Cheyne, and two of her daughters, Anna and Margaret were found with their servants on the 1694 Poll of Edinburgh. The abstracted entry reads: "Cheine, Katherine Inglis, widow of George Cheine, late Town Clerk of Leith, worth £100; daughters, Anna and Margaret; servants, Janet Deheoner (sic) and Heli Dixon (the former's name is given as Denhaer and the latter is listed only in the Roll). Six hearths".3
