He was found on page 28 of the The Original Scots Colonists of Early America. Supplement 1607-1707. His entry reads "Cheyne, John, a prisoner of war, captured at the Battle of Worcester, 2.9.1651, tranported from London to New England 12.1681 on the John and Sarah of London, master John Greene, landed in Boston 2.1652 [Suffolk Deeds, 1/5-6]". N.B.--An identical entry appears on page 156 for Shone, (?), James, see attached.1
He was also found in the Directory of Scots Banished to the American Plantations, 1650-1775. His entry reads "Cheyne, John, Royalist soldier captured at Worcester. Transported on the John and Sarah, master John Greene, from Gravesend 13 May 1652 for Boston".2
