     Christian Cheyne married George Forbes of Craigie before 13 February 1618. A footnote to the Forbes of Tolquhon Genealogy Table, Page 257 of Tayler, The Valuation of the County of Aberdeen for the Year 1667 reads as follows: "George Forbes of Craigie (13893) married Christian Cheyne (2072), who after his death married Robert Forbes of Tilligonie; William Forbes (13894) of Craigie was their son."
On the Forbes of Waterton Genealogy Table, Page 269, she was said to be ___ Cheyne of Esslemont. No Christian Cheyne was a daughter of Esslemont in this time period. No other Cheyne historian has a Cheyne-Forbes of Craigie marriage.1,2

There was a sasine in Aberdeenshire dated 13 February 1618 that included Christina Cheyne (2072) and her husband, Georbes Forbes of Cragye (13893).2

There was a sasine in Aberdeenshire dated 29 February 1628 that included Christina Cheyne (2072). She was the spouse of George Forbes of Cragye (13893).3

Christian Cheyne married Robert Forbes of Tilligonie after 29 February 1628.1,3

There were two sasines that included Christian Cheyne in Aberdeenshire. The first was dated 2 June 1632; and, the second, 18 March 1651. In both, she was cited as relict of George Forbes, son of William Forbes of Tolquhon and spouse of Robert Forbes, son of James Forbes of 'Tilligoye'.4

Christian Cheyne (2072) and her son William Forbes of Craigie (13894) were mentioned in Tayler, The Valuation of the County of Aberdeen for the Year 1667 in an entry and footnote under 'Wm. Forbes for his Part of Craigie' in the Presbytery of Ellon. The entry in part reads as follows: "William Forbes, nephew to Walter, 9th Laird of Tolquhon had been conspicuous for his part in the "Kennedy-Wateron" fight in 1652."
The footnote to it reads as follows: "Christian Cheyne was life rentrix of Craigie in 1654. She was mother of William (Forbes of Craigie) and survived until 1672."5

There was a sasine in Aberdeenshire dated 23 July 1655 that included Christian Cheyne (2072), mother of William Forbes of Craigie.6

Christian Cheyne died about 1672.5

John Udny of Newtyle and Culter Cullen and his wife (Mary Cheyne, not named) were listed with their children and tenants in Foveran Parish on the List of Pollable Persons in Aberdeenshire 1696. Their entry reads:
"A list of Pollable Persons within the Lands of Newtyle and Coulter Cullen belonging to John Udney heritor thereof. The valuatione of the said Lands is three hunder and nynty seven pund five shillings.... £397 5s 0d.
"The hundredth pairt whereof is ... £3 19s 6d.
"The said John Udney his valuatione in the said paroch being above £200, his poll is, with the generall poll of ... £9 6s 0d.
"Item, his lady, and sex children, their poll is £2 2s 0d".
On the following page are several of his tenants and at Newtyle two Cheynes were found. Bessie was under one of the five tenants in Newtyle, William Medler; and, George was under William Forbes of Craigie. [N.B.-A Christian Cheyne married a George Forbes of Craigie.] Christian (2072), Mary (13016), Bessie (2127) and George (2128) Cheynes were probably closely related.
The two entries read as follows:
"Bessie Cheyne, her generall poll is ... 6s 0d". and,
"George Cheyne, his fee £10 per annum, the fortieth pairt and generall poll is ... 11s 0d".7
