Frederick Braithwaite Nichols and Reginald Edward George Bridle was granted the probate of the estate of the deceased, James Cheyne, 15 June 1939. The will of James Cheyne was proved 15 June 1939. An abstract of which reads: "Cheyne James of Camelot Tubbenden lane Farnsworth Kent died 13 April 1939 Probate London 15 June to Frederick Braithwaite Nichols civil servant and Reginald Edward George Bridle bankers secretary [N.B.--both were sons-in-law]. Effects £10555 4s. 6d..".2
