She was born in London in 1901 and her father's name was Alexander. Alexander was the only Alexander Cheyne found on the 1901 British census that resided in London. Her birth was indexed in the 3rd quarter of 1901.1,2

Agnes Christine Cheyne was found on a border crossing list entering the United States, 23 September 1937, at Buffalo, Erie, New York, USA. She was 36, a teacher, born in London, was visiting the United States for two days and came from Toronto, Ontario. She was a British Subject of Scotch race. Her address and that of her father, Alexander, was 31 Midmar Garden, Edinburgh.1
