He was 9 years of age, born in Sandness Parish, Shetland Islands and a scholar.1

An Arthur Cheyne, born about 1891 or 1892, was found on four passengers lists in New York. He probably was Arthur (16162).

Arthur Cheyne was found on a passenger list, dated 22 June 1919, at New York, New York, USA. He was on a Manifest of Alien Crew Members aboard the Masirah out of Glasgow, 10 June 1919. He was one of four 2nd Masters, indicated by ditto marks. He was probably an A.B. Seaman, He was 28, a British citizen of Scotch race and had signed on in Glasgow, 9 June 1919. He was 5'-10" tall and weighed 168 pounds.3

Arthur Cheyne was found on a passenger list, dated 26 April 1924, at New York, New York, USA. He was on a Manifest of Alien Crew Members aboard the Absia out of Las Palmas, Canary Islands, Spain, 27 March 1924. He was an Able Seaman, 32, a British citizen of Scotch race and had signed on in Liverpool, 12 August 1923. He was 5'-10" tall and weighed 150 pounds.4
