     John Pirie Robison Cheyne was born, 8 September 1855, in Turriff, Turriff Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. I could not read the time of the birth or the street name. The image quality was poor.1,2

Chyne on the 1861 Scotland Census, at 12 Main Street, in Turriff, Turriff Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. John P. R. Chyne was 6 years of age, a scholar and born in Turriff Parish.3

John Cheyne, Patrick Cheyne, Frederick Cheyne, Ann S. Cheyne and Alexander Cheyne were listed as children in the household of Patrick Cheyne and his wife, Jane Cheyne on the 1871 Scotland Census, at 37 Main Street, in Turriff, Turriff Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. He was 15 years of age and a scholar.4

John Pirie Robison Cheyne was listed on the 1881 England Census in Much Woolton, Lancashire, England. He was a lodger (landlord unknown). He was unmarried, the Curate of Much Woolton, 25 years old and was born in Scotland.5

John P. R. Cheyne was in the household of Richard Davies, commercial clerk on the 1891 England Census, at Poulton with Seacombe Parish, Cheshire, England. He was a clerk in Holy Order and listed as single, having been born in Scotland, and age 35 years.6

Coll.]', 1875. Deacon, 1879 of Chester, Priest, 1880, Liverpool, Curate, St. Jude's West Derby, Liverpool, 1879-1881. Curate St. Peter's, Woolton, Lancs., 1881-1883. Curate St. Bridget's, Chester, 1886-1886. Curate St. George's, Altrincham, Cheshire, 1891-1893. Priest-in-Charge, Bieldside, 1894-1895. Became Curate at Tarvin, Cheshire in Feb. 1895".7

He was the officiating minister on the following marriage record dateD 16 April 1898: "Rennie. Murray. Alexander Bisset Rennie, bachelon, blacksmith, Edinburgh, and Mary Elizabeth Murray, spinster, married at Berrybrae, Lonmay, 16 Apr 1898 , by J.P.R. Cheyne".8

Rev. John P. R. Cheyne was listed on the 1901 Scotland Census at Dovecot, in Auchterarder, Auchterarder Parish, Perth, Scotland. He was a lodger in the household of James Malloch, tailor and clothier. He was 43 years of age, born in Turriff Parish, Aberdeen and a priest.9

His estate was probated on 13 October 1905 at London, England.10

John Pirie Robison Cheyne and Margaret Rosalie Postlethwaite had their marriage banns read in the procedures of the Church of England in London, Saint Peter, Notting Hill, Middlesex, England. Their banns were published on three consecutive Sundays, March 25th, April 1st and 8th 1906. He was a bachelor of Morningside Parish, Edinburgh. She a spinster of this parish..11

John Pirrie Robinson Cheyne married Margaret Rosalie Postlethwaite 19 April 1906, in accordance with the procedures of the Church of England, in London, Saint Peter, Notting Hill, Middlesex, England. They were married in the parish church. He was 51, a bachelor, a clerk in Holy Orders and resided at 4 Bruntsfield Avenue, Edinburgh.2

John Pirie Robison Cheyne died 25 July 1906 in Redcar, Yorkshire, England.12

His estate was probated on 15 November 1906 at London, England.13
