Mary Cheyne, William Cheyne, Sophia Cheyne, Edward Cheyne, Annie Cheyne and James Cheyne were found on a passenger list with their parents John Cheyne and Sophia Cheyne on 8 June 1912 at Quebec, Quebec, Canada, She was 23 years of age and a domestic. They were steerage passengers aboard the Empress of Ireland out of Liverpool. John was listed as 50 years of age and had previously been in Canada for seven years and had been a farmer for thirty years. Sophia was 50. All were born in Scotland of Scottish race and were Presbyterians. They were destined for North Battleford, Saskatchewan via the Canadian Pacific Railway.2
