1883. Agnes Cheyne (15032) was born in the 2nd Quarter of 1883. She may have been the daughter of John Cheyne (15019) and Frances Latitia McGohenney who were the only known Cheyne parents in Banbridge at the time.5
John Cheyne was listed on the 1901 Ireland Census, at 30 Aughnavally, in Ballybrick, County Down, Ireland. He was head of household and a farmer. Also present were his children, Alexander Cheyne, Letitia Cheyne, John Cheyne, Martha Cheyne, Lizzie Cheyne and Agnes Cheyne. He was listed as a widower, 62 years of age and born in County Down. All family members were listed as Presbyterian and could read and write.2
John Cheyne died 1905 in Banbridge, County Down, Ireland. His death was recorded in the first quarter of 1905, aged 67 years.1
