Agnes Barclay was baptized in accordance with the procedures of the Church of Scotland, 21 November 1842, in Peterhead, Peterhead Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. The following is a transcription from the Register of Baptisms, Parish of Peterhead, 1833-1854, Page 183, "Nov'r 21st (1842) Peter Barclay (1348), Miller in Peterhead, had a daughter, born 21st Oct'r., baptized and named Agnes (1349) before W'm Mason & Will'm Barclay.”.1
