The attached is a photo taken about 1883 of Elizabeth D. Cheyne.6

Mary M. Cheyne, Elizabeth D. Cheyne, Hans Arnold Cheyne and Charles Cheyne were listed as children in the household of Alexander Cheyne on the 1901 Ireland Census, at Fitzroy Street, in Cromac, County Antrim, Ireland. She was listed as not married, 24 years old, born in County Derry and employed as a stenographer and typist.5

Elizabeth Cheyne and Mary Cheyne were found on a passenger list, dated 2 July 1910, at New York, New York, USA. Also present were their children S. Cheyne. They were passengers on the ship Celtic, on which they boarded in Liverpool on 2 July 1910 and landed on 2 July 1910. Mary was listed as 30 years of age and a domestic; Elizabeth, was 26 and a typist. All other entries were the same for both. They were born in Maghera, Ireland; last lived in Belfast; were destined for Peoria, Illinois, to the home of their sister, Mrs. Steele, at 506 College Street (Grace (15183) found on 1910 census at that address); their nearest relative in Ireland, was a brother, S. Cheyne (Samuel (12112)), in Belfast.7

Lillian D. Cheyne was in the household of Mary Steele and listed as sister on the 1920 United States Census, at 1322 Main Street, in Peoria, Peoria, Illinois, USA. She was listed as age 38 and single. She and her parents were said to have been born in Ireland. Her immigration and citizenship details were lacking. Lillian was employed as a bookkeeper at an automobile company.4

Lillian D. Cheyne was found on a passenger list, dated 27 April 1920, at Liverpool, Lancashire, England. She was a second class passenger aboard the Baltic, out of New York. She was traveling to Donegall Place, Belfast. She was 41, a bookkeeper and her last permanent address was in the United States.8

Lillie Dripps Cheyne was found on a passenger list, dated 3 July 1922, at New York, New York, USA. She was on a Manifest of Passengers aboard the Baltic, out of Liverpool. She was 45 years of age, single, born in Maghera, a clerk and a British Subject of Irish nationality. Her closest relative in Ireland was her brother, S. Donald Cheyne, Donegall Place, Belfast. She had previously been in the United States, 1910-1920, in Peoria, Illinois, which was her destination. She was going to join her aunt, Mrs. Margaret Flemming, 111 North Trunk Street, Peoria, for an uncertain period.9

The attached is a photo taken about 1925 of Isabella Jane Steele and her aunt Lil Cheyne.10

Lillian D. Cheyne was in the household of Mary Steele and listed as sister on the 1930 United States Census, at 1615 1/2 Main Street, in Peoria, Peoria, Illinois, USA. She was listed as age 52 and single. She and her parents were said to have been born in Northern Ireland. Her immigration and citizenship details were lacking. Lillian was employed as a bookkeeper at an automobile accessory company.11

Elizabeth Dripps Cheyne died 1953 in Portrush, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. She died in the first quarter of 1953.12
