     William Hunter Watson Cheyne was born, about July 1889, in London, Marylebone, Middlesex, England. His birth was recorded in the 3rd quarter of 1889.1,2,3

Joseph Cheyne and William Cheyne were listed as children in the household of William Cheyne and his wife, Mary Ann Cheyne on the 1891 England Census, at 59 Welbeck Street, in London, Marylebone, Middlesex, England.1

Hunter W. Cheyne was listed on the 1901 England Census at Philberd's School, in Bray Parish, Berkshire, England. He was listed as a pupil, 11 years old and born in Lonlon.4

William H. W. Cheyne was found on a passenger list with his father William Watson Cheyne on 3 August 1911 at Quebec, Quebec, Canada, They were Saloon Class passengers and tourists aboard the Empress of Britain, out of Liverpool. William Senior was 58, married, born in Tasmania and had previously been in Canada. William, the younger, was 22, single, born in England and this was his first visit.5

He was listed in The Medical Register of the United Kingdom, 1915 and 1919. He first registered 23 September 1913. His qualifications included being a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, 1913 and licensed by the Royal College of Physicians of London, 1913.6

William Hunter Watson Cheyne was found on a passenger list, dated 4 December 1919, at New York, New York, USA. He was on a Manifest of Alien Passengers aboard the Columbia, out of Glasgow. He was 30 years and 4 months of age, single, born in London, a doctor and a British Subject of English race. His nearest relative in England was his father,Sir Watson Cheyne, R.L.M.P., Beechgrove, Sydenham Hill, London. He was in transit to Melbourne, Australia via San Francisco. He had been in the United States previously in 1910 and 1917.2

Joseph Lister Watson Cheyne and William Hunter Watson Cheyne was granted the probate of the estate of the deceased, William Watson Cheyne, 4 August 1932. The will of William Watson Cheyne was proved 4 August 1932. An abstract of which reads: "Cheyne sir William Watson baronet of Leagarth Fetlar Shetland N.B. died 19 April 1932 Probate London 4 August to sir Joseph Lister Cheyne baronet and William Hunter Watson Cheyne M.B. Effects £58594 13s. 7d. in England.".7
