The following was provided by Brenda Watts: "Alexander and Martha returned to Kennethmont when the war broke out in 1939. Alexander died on 26 May 1940 at Seggiedon, Kennethmont. Martha went back to live with Isabella in Manor Park in London after the war."8

Martha Hannah Cheyne was granted the probate of the estate of the deceased, Alexander Mitchell Cheyne, 24 December 1940. The will of Alexander Mitchell Cheyne was proved 24 December 1940. An abstract of which reads: "Cheyne Alexander Mitchell of 70 Shelley avenue Manor Park Essex died 26 May 1940 at Seggieden Kennethmont Aberdeenshire Administration '(with Will)' Llandudno 24 December to Martha Hannah Cheyne widow. Effects £3688 4s. 8d.".9

Martha Hannah Warman died 23 November 1953.10

Her estate was probated on 24 May 1954 at London, England.11
