Geo. E. Cheyne, J. M. Cheyne, R. F. Cheyne, Jane Cheyne, Rob't Cheyne, Sala Cheyne and Baby Cheyne were found on a passenger list with their parents Rev'd Geo. Cheyne and Mrs. Cheyne, 17 September 1864 at New York, New York, USA. They were passengers on the steamship Montezuma, on which they boarded in Kingston, Jamaica and were bound for England. They were travelling First Cabin.2

George Edward Cheyne, Jane M. Cheyne, Rosetta Fanny Cheyne, Susan A. L. Cheyne, Robert John Cheyne, Sybella A. M. Cheyne, Amy E. F. Cheyne and Emily V. I. Cheyne were listed as children in the household of Rosetta Mary Cheyne on the 1871 England Census, at 2 Grange Villas, in London, Croydon, All Saints Parish, Surrey, England. She was also listed as a scholar.1
