They were on a Manifest of Passengers aboard the Ethiopia, out of Glasgow, Scotland and Moville, Ireland. John and Jessie were listed as 37 and 34, and Gent and Lady. All were said to have been subjects of Scotland and were Cabin Class passengers. All the children's ages were two years older than they should have been.5

He was a vice president of Reading & ??, Reading, Pennsylvania.. His mother, Mrs. John Cheyne, was his nearest relative. Their address was 703 East 27th, Paterson, Passaic, New Jersey, USA.2

He was listed as 45 years of age and single. His parents were said to have been born in Scotland.11

He was 55 and single.He was born in Massachusetts; his parents, in Scotland. Also present was a boarder, James Resnick.12
